For more than four decades, every project built by Petru and Svetlana Dulgher has been guided by the same belief: never begin something unless you can do it to the highest standard. Respect for the land, the patience to build for the long term, and genuine care for the people who have stood by them have become values naturally passed on to the second generation. Today, Iuliana and Lilia carry that same vision forward, each in her own field of expertise, united by the shared responsibility of honoring the family name.

At Gitana Winery 1953, every bottle that leaves the cellar bears the signature of the Dulgher family. That is why no decision is made solely with efficiency or production volumes in mind, but rather with careful consideration for its impact on the quality of the wine and the reputation built over time. For the Dulgher family, every glass of wine is an expression of the values they believe in and of the legacy they strive to leave through this place.

The next Generation

Sophie, Petru, and Leo are the next generation of the Dulgher family – and the future custodians of a legacy built over generations.Growing up surrounded by vineyards, wine, and the family’s story, they discovered what it means to carry forward something that began long before them. Each of them will bring their own perspective, energy, and vision to the estate, while remaining connected to the values that have shaped the Dulgher family from the beginning.Their future is not simply about inheriting a winery. It is about preserving a heritage, caring for the land, and continuing to build on the work of those who came before them – with the freedom to shape the next chapter in their own way.
